这些短语均由代词加前置词but(除开)构成，但含义各不相同。
anything but: (=not at all, by no means, never)表示“决不，根本不”。
nothing but: (=only)表示“只不过，除了……以外什么也没有”。
all but: (=almost, nearly)表示“几乎，差一点”。
none but: (=no one except)表示“只有；除……外谁也不”。
这两个词均可表示否定“不，没有”之意。
no: 与not有两点值得特别注意。1.no用作形容词时一般直接置于名词之前。名词前有a, any, much, enough等限定词时，不可用no，应用否定副词not。no修饰名词时，语气强于not。2.作为否定副词no与not都可与形容词比较级连用，但它们所表示的意思不相同。
nothing: 强调有没有,nothing指物
none: 强调有多少, --- How many…/How much…? --- None.
no one: 强调有没有,no one指人
not…until: 直到…才（常跟点动词连用） He didn't come until 3:00.
until: 到…为止， I waited until 3:00.
