CONCLUSION: Complement activator CVF induced platelet aggregation and ATP release, and increased prothrombinase activity on platelet surface. These actions were dependent on fibrinogen receptors on the platelet surface, elevation in intracellular free calcium ion, and reduction in cAMP.
