3D model was built by Pro/E software on piston parts. And mold filing solidification numerical stimulation of piston casting was analyzed by using ProCAST software. Foundry defects such as shrinkage, porosity and the position of defect may be producted by judging the critical solid phase rate, and comparing with the actual test result.
