According to the characteristics of the digital signal processor, the reasons of some harmonic detection methods which are not suitable for the actual project are given, and then the design and implementation of a new harmonic current computation technique for active power filter based on a simplified Discrete Fourier Transform is presented. The computation processing using a sliding-window iterative algorithm can efficiently calculate the instantaneous harmonic components in real time. According to the character of re-period of current harmonics with steady-load in power system, the paper presents an algorithm of PI-type iterative learning control applied for hybrid active power filter with a forgetting factor to enhance system robustness, and introducing a feed forward based D-type learning law of fuzzy inferenced current error to improve its tracking precision under the optimal object.
