而就所得的结果而论，诊断为Carcinoma中：β—sheet由原来正常组织的24.26％变为20.05%，Random coil由25.50％变为22.71％，α—helix由29.54％变为25.01％，β—turn由20.46％变为32.08％；诊断为Adenocarcinoma中：β—sheet由原来的20.39％变为20.19％，Random coil由24.71％变为18.78％，α—helix由33.50％变为20.91％，β—turn由21.40％变为40.08％癌化组织之β结构含量较正常组织之含量为高，亦即波峰向高波数位移之倾向；细胞方面，则取决於加入酒精浓度与量的多寡，浓度高者波峰有向低波数位移之倾向并且细胞有萎缩之情形，另外在Colo 205的研究中，β—sheet，Random coil，α—helix，β—turn分别所代表在蛋白质二级结构百分比为35.42 %，28.01 %，19.77 %，16.79 %，可以得知Colo 205在Amide I中β—sheet含量最高，加上β—turn之含量，则属於β型之二级结构其含量将超过一半以上，恰可与大肠直肠癌组织之结果互为呼应。
