Methods: The subjects of this study were 99 employees (administrators, doctors, radio-technicians), 91 patients, the 3 major procedures of radiology department (photographing, delivery of the films, returning of the films) data investigation, financial expenditure for 7 months before and after, enquiring the satisfactory score of the 4 factors concerning using the conventional X-ray versus PACS, compare the number of the steps used by the radiology procedure and time consuming, the manpower working at the radiology department and the materials consumed. The results were statistically analyzed and calculated with the MS SPSS 10.0 statistic software.
