In this paper, a phase-shift migration of visacoustic wave equation in the f-kdomain is realized as the lateral structural variations are small. When the lateralvariations are considerable, a finite-difference migration of viscoacoustic waveequation in the f-x domain is used, while the transmission loss is considered andcompensated during the wavefield extrapolation. Aimed at 3D viscoacousticmigration efficiency and practical feasibility, the explicit viscoacoustic wavefieldmigration in the f-x domain was realized by use of a deconvolution extrapolationfilter. Owing to the introduction of McClellan transformation, the efficiency of 3-Dmigration is highly increased, thus it is possible and feasible to apply viscoacousticmigration on the field data.
