The reason of fireflies working every day and carrying a lantern every night is to find the other missing half! If you would like to appreciate the mighty work of God, you`d better come at night while they are working from around 7 pm to 9 pm. Apart from watching fireflies at night, you can also take a nice and slow stroll in the Alishan Mountain and visit nearby tourism scenic spots, including Green Tunnel, Swallow Cliff, Bat Cave and Ruitai Old Trail.
萤火虫之所以每日上班，点著灯笼夜晚飞翔，就是为了找到另外一半交配传宗接代，所以想要欣赏萤火虫美妙的倩影，就要抓住萤火虫上班的时间观赏，大约夜晚七点～九点是萤火虫最多出门上班的时刻，九点左右就会下班回家休息，瑞里地区因为近期复育有成，所以天气好时，萤火虫数量可上看十万多只，整片山壁都可以看到发亮的萤火虫飞舞。
