By above studies, this paper proposes for the first time that a selenium-containing isoperoxidase may exist in germinating barley.

Up to now it has not been finally concluded yet whether selenium is an essential trace element to plant, although selenium can be uptaken by them. This thesis presents two new macromolecules with biological activity—selenium-containing isoperoxidase and tRNA, which have been isolated、purified and characterized from germinating barley. It is significant in the future to verify the essentiality of selenium to plant.
本论文以大麦苗为对象运用同位素〓Se和各种生化技术首次在大麦苗中发现了具有重要生物功能的生物大分子——含硒过氧化物酶同功酶和含硒tRNA的存在，在此基础上对它们进行了分离纯化和表征，从而为今后研究硒是否为植物所必需提供部分依据。
