Immittance converter theory is analyzed in detail. A novel photovoltaic grid-tied single/three-phase constant current source inverter is proposed based on immittance converter theory and high-frequency link inverter techniques. Due to utilizing the characteristic of immittance converter, a constant current source characteristic of photovoltaic grid-tied inverter is realized. Therefore, input current supplied to the utility can be controlled without feedback current controlled algorithm and a power factor approximately 1 also can be achieved. Finally, simulation results prove the feasibility of this kind of PV grid-tied inverter.
