For the large volume and high speed statistics applications, Devavrat Shah in Stanford University proposed the solution of LCF-CMA which based on the idea of memory hierarchy. But it is too difficult for implementation. With the introduction of this solution, a more efficient solution called SI-CMA is proposed. It can be very easily implemented with FPGA and ASIC. The implementation cost is also far below that of LCF-CMA. The performance analysis of LCF-CMA is carried out in this paper.
