The causes of blepharoptosis in the study included congenital ptosis adults and children, third-nerve palsy, Marcus Gunn jaw-winking syndrome, and recurrent ptosis (table 1). Mild exposure keratopathy occurred postoperatively in 2(7%) of 27 eyes, both in patients with inadequate or absent Bell's phenomenon prior to surgery. Wound infection with extrusion of silicone rod was found in one eye (3.7%) of a child with congenital ptosis and the condition was made stable under debridement and with the use of antibiotics. Uneven crest was found in a patient who had already undergone three previous surgeries for recurrent ptosis and in two traumatic third nerve palsy cases. Conclusion: Several materials are useful in the frontalis slings for correction of ptosis.
结果：术后平均追踪11.8个月（4-24个月），我们根据病人上眼瞼的高度及两侧的对称性来评估手术结果的好坏，术后达到预期標准的眼睛有27颗，MRD提高范围(3mm-5mm)，平均提高MRD约3.7mm(table 1)，没有復发的病例，其中外伤性third nerve palsy及復发性眼瞼下垂已接受三次传统矫正手术者，两侧的对称性较差，主要是避免术后exposure keratopathy，但均可达病患的要求；目前有一位单侧先天性眼瞼下垂的3岁病患於术后追踪数月，突然出现伤口感染裂开，导致silicone rod暴露(3.7%)，经住院清创及抗生素治疗后，目前状况稳定；有2个眼睛(7%)於术后出现mild exposure keratopathy，而这两个眼睛在术前评估即已发现其Bell's phenomenon是不良的，经使用药膏及药水后均能恢復正常。
