Fourth, a high molecular weight polymer possessing reactive benzoxazine groups in the mainchain was prepared through the Diels-Alder reaction using BPA-FBz and a bismaleimide as monomers. The polymer PBz was further thermally cross-linked to result in a high performance polymer, which exhibits high glass transition temperature of 242 oC, good thermal stability, high mechanical strength, and great flexibility.

While uvamalols D-G are attributed to seco-cyclohexenes, especially, this type of cyclohexenes isolated from Uvaria macrophylla for the first time was attentatively proposed to be regarded as the precursors of polyoxygenated cyclohexens and to support the biogenetic theory of cyclohexenes, which assumed that cyclohexenes biosythesis derived from Diels-Alder cyclo-addition.
