Based on this model, the aerodynamic optimization methods are studied thoroughly as follows:(1) A new automatic parallel aerodynamic optimization method, which is combined with the parallel ARDE algorithm, the modification parameterization method and 3D RANS solver, is developed for 3D axial turbomachinery cascade design. A low aspect ratio transonic turbine stage is optimized for the maximization of the isentropic efficiency with forty-one design variables.
